The two get mixed up often. Here is the short version.
Replastering
Replaces the interior surface you touch: plaster, quartz or pebble. Choose it when the finish is rough, stained or cracked but tile, coping and equipment are fine.
Renovation
Updates everything around the finish: waterline tile, coping, lighting and equipment. Many remodels include a replaster, priced as one project.
